This is the untold story of a Grammy-winning hip hop star at the center of a $4.5 billion dollar geopolitical scandal.

 

In May of 2023 a jury found rapper Pras Michel guilty on 10 counts of operating as a foreign agent for the Chinese government. How did a Grammy-winning rapper and founder of legendary hip hop trio, Fugees, become entwined in a scandal that involves espionage, illegal lobbying, witness tampering and the $4.5 billion swindle known as 1MDB? Was Pras an unwitting operative, a pawn in somebody else’s game, or something more bizarre?
